Fall/Winter 2012 Nails.

On the Fall /Winter 2012 runways, designers echoed the colors of their collections onto models’ hands, sending the message that it is more than okay to be matchy-matchy when it comes to your clothing and nails. From neutrals to nailart, here’s a few inspirational picks from the most covetable runway manis perfect for this time of year.
Nude.
Whether it is literally transparent or flesh-colored opaque, nude is in for fall and a great way to show off your filing, moisturizing and shaping efforts.
From L-R: Versace, Guy Larouche.

Blue.
Some of our favorite designers have a big crush on blue. From navy and grayish to barely-there blue, we can't wait to try this color on for size. Notice that matte colors made an appearance too.
From L-R: Anna Sui, Oscar De La Renta, Elie Saab.

Red.
When it comes to the color of the season, burgundy was it. So it comes as no surprise this was a big nail color tend too.
From L-R: Georges Chakra, Zac Posen, Doo Ri.

Nail Art.
Nail art was taken to a whole new level, from a hardcore medieval spin to DIY-looking tribal to midnight black, there's no shortage of imagination this season. For a serious over the top wow-factor, this can be your best bet.
From L-R: Thierry Mugler, Kate Spade and Vivienne Westwood.

Nail Art!

Nails have always been extensions of our personalities and the nail polish that used to adorn them was not only as a form of expression but identification too especially where black nail polish was concerned- you would know someone is a rock star by spotting black nail polish. Before,  a perfect manicure entailed well shaped, clean and polished nails with a particular color to match an outfit or to simply express oneself.
Today, Nails are more than that. They have become accessories in the form of nail art! Not only are they long, nails now sport elaborate and decorative designs a faraway trend from the norm we were used to. A manicure is simply not a manicure anymore when there are so many designs for one use on their nails. The more creative the better.
From floral, velvet to fruits; the name of the game when it comes to nails is Nail Art!

Floral Nail Art.

Zombie Karl Lagerfeld Nail Art.

L-R: Fruity Nails and Hollywood Nails.

L-R: Velvet Nails and Cupcake Nails.

The Perfect Mani & Pedi.

Nails are an essential part to a woman's body and beauty especially when done right. The right nails with the right outfit can make you stand out but it is not an easy feat to accomplish for some. Perfect nails for both fingers and toes are easy to achieve if you apply these handy-tried and tested tips.

·         Sleep on it:
At night, scrub your feet, apply a super-rich moisturizing lotion and sleep in socks. Your feet will be feeling baby soft the next morning.

·         Clean Up:
Remove all excess polish with a stiff, angled liner brush. Dip the brush in remover, brush off excess polish , and wipe the brush clean a piece of cotton wool.

·         Sugar Scrub:
Make your own home-made scrub by moisturizing sugar with sunflower oil preferably and scrub both hands and feet to exfoliate the skin, remove dead cells and stimulate blood circulation.

·         Top Coat:
Apply a top coat as soon as you see a chip in the nail polish. Remember to wash your hands and feet first beforehand, as grease prevents the layer from adhering.

And there you have it. The Tips to a perfect Mani & Pedi.
