Be Bold With Cobalt Blue.

Everyone knows that purple and Burgundy have been big business this season, but what should you do if you want something a little bolder? Step forward cobalt blue, which is one of the hottest –but most overlooked shades –to wear during fall/winter 12.
Balenciaga, Lanvin, Richard Nicoll and Preen all used this hue in many different ways. Chiffon skirts, military jackets, beautiful body conscious dresses were all carved from this bright color and it looks set to be popular for the coming Spring/Summer 13 season.

Granted it isn’t the look of choice for shrinking violets and the super bright shades might be a little unflattering, but the trick here is to experiment.
They might seem scary, but if you have a dark complexion bold cobalt will look beautiful. Those who are fairer might look swamped if they go too bright, so try toning things down with a blue coat you can wear with darker colours. Or if you must go bright try a pop – perhaps a bright clutch or scarf to kick things off.
